It is also traders that skim the top off profits of producers, be they buyers of the product or sellers. Every dollar a trader makes has to come from someone else. Do I think they should be banned? Absolutely not. That is what makes markets work, people with different ideas on the value of things. Traders arbitrage what they think are price mismatches, the real value versus the perceived value. They are part of a free market. I just wanted to point out, again, that a market is a zero sum game. For someone to make more profit, means someone else had to make less. Someone from the producer to the very end user had to pay more if someone else bought cheaper. And vise versa. It is just our job as marketers to make sure it is someone else that takes the hit instead of us. The real world we live in. John |
