dont use an impact, IMO almost impossible to get a dayton to run true when a guy uses an air wrench. I can get daytons good enough to truck grain to town, but my old man has the touch, he can get daytons to run basically perfectly true. it helps that he doenst hate them, in fact he likes the old POS system. :) also, they dont take that much torque, IIRC only 2-300 lb ft. he does the 2 ton with 9.00R20s with a half inch breaker bar., 10.00 20s on the tandems with a 3/4 breaker, but all by hand.

as to the original question, check the wedges, there a few different styles, and I have a feeling a tire shop flunkie threw some on and didnt match them to the old ones.
