| Well this one off the coolest August so I remeber for a long time. An its been pretty dry as well here in my neck off the woods here in east central Nebraska. The corn is late an will need all off September to mature. Hopefully we will get a hot spell for awhile an some rain to move this crop along. I think an early frost would really hurt lot off this crop if it occured in September Way it looks like now it will be a late harvest. Last time I remember conditions like this we were picking in the snow at Christmas time am the corn was still wet. I think lots off the analysts are getting cocermed with the constant cool weather. More like late September then August. The cool weather has maked the dryness in lot off areas. A week off really hot weather would really hurt lot off this dryland crop in a hurry with current moisture conditions. | |
