Maydel, when do you start harvest up there? I saw a post from somebody in Ontario yesterday, that said he was starting. What's first, canola, oats etc.? Not even sure what you grow up there besides snowflakes and big pike! We like to get running here by Oct. 1st, but it seems unlikely at this point. Corn is running at least 2.5 weeks behind, and the beans didn't get planted til mid june, so unless diseases become an issue, there won't likely be any early beans either.

Hi J, thanks. last post overlapped yours. Usually snowflakes and big pike but we slip a little crop in between! :) This year I only have canola and spring wheat. Will start desiccating the wheat beginning of next week and swathing the canola toward end of the week. Combines would roll around Sept 1 if it stays warm. If I had yellow peas or winter wheat in then combines would go next week. I can tell that the days are getting shorter and to make everything go smooth I like to go through the swathers and combines from end to end first.

At first glance at the chart I came up with these lines which read nicely before but you can see in the last down leg and swings the frequency changes. Using the same lines but shifting slightly to represent the frequency change I got the second chart. Not sure if that makes sense. Same idea, it shows a loss of energy here and a possible return to 480. I don't think it will make the 520 but hopefully wrong.
