I know the NavII on the Case uses different firmware from the Trimble version. The Trimble version can be set to output NEMA over the serial connection on the NavII. Can the same thing be done on the Case? And yes the 252 has a port C. To access it you use a splitter cable the plugs into the physical B port connector.
