 Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | You have to learn how to run one.
On the clumps after a stop. Don't do 'Slam on the Brakes' stops. I know sometimes you do have to stop right now.
Flipping a toggle switch to off would also stop the piles.
Also you learn how to start up after a in field stop.
Very happy with mine, would not go back to ground wheel drive PERIOD.
Now Contact Wheel Drive is a different matter. But I still would much prefer hydraulic drive.
Mine is a Rawson.
Also being able to run the planter while it is not moving is just great. You will not realize this until you have one. Oiling, inspecting how the system is running, etc;
I have even used it to empty the planter, a bucket under each seed tube.
And I really like not having to raise the planter very far for it to stop planting. I can come up on the edge of the headrows and only have to drop it a bit to be going.
I do have my whisky switch set low.
