Seems like the grease wouldn't last long in there and would just get on stuff that would make a mess out of my hands, pants, shirts, ....well everything. How much time effort spent greasing and cleaning grease off of stuff over a year does it take to equal out to welding up a drawbar hole every 10 years. Just my random thoughts. I always say do whatever works for you.
