North central North Dakota | An optional way is to just put stuff on the surface and grind on those. I have heard of putting in glass beads, chips and almost anything that will not break out with polishing. Our garage floor was done with a total replacement of the aggregate to granite so the whole profile of rock to be exposed is the same. The concrete finishers must not power screed and be careful how they walk. I heard of a job that the workers tried hard not to walk too much in wrong spots and after polishing, you could see the foot prints due to the aggregate being pushed down too much. That just takes more grinding toget down to uniform look.
