Subject: Re: control release fert corn test plot

Juneau, WI
Was this blend sprinkled on top? Was some placed into the soil?
Reading Agrium's recommendations for ESN they say incorporation is recommended over surface or broadcast and it isn't recommended to be applied on bare soil.

This last year we tried a blend with ESN and I found depth changes the release rate considerably. The deeper it was the quicker it released. In our case 2-4 inches deep took about 2-3 weeks to release and 0-2 inches deep took 3-6 weeks. We ran this blend through the blending tubes on Dawn Pluribus strip till units, so I was able to see the differences in release at different depths everywhere we used it. We were very dry and hot compared to normal last year so it will be interesting to see how it works this year.
I'm interested to see the results of your test.
