Martinsville, Ohio | Soth Dakota, I am not sure, Fonzie. I used a disk reel thanks to a friend and touched them up lightly when that would work and when it got too rough, had to do the whole field. Have to be able to shave the ground if I grow soybean pods to the bottom of the stalk which I don't always do.
I detest worse loosing the advantages of continuous notill by disturbing the soil. Now I have so many coyotes and hawks working my fields my main problem is erosion, even good notill has a ton or more soil loss per acre. Notill can wash here but the vole holes are becoming less of a problem as the predators increase, groundhogs were gone from here when I came, Thank God. Dad's farm was pretty much destroyed by groundhogs and tile blow outs.
I really need to do some pan work like some of you do.
Disk and field cultivator I have not used since my younger days.
