All in the name of progress... The whole "no farmer-dealer" thing is the reason we left NK in the first place. Some guys might not like the hassle, but I like going to seed meetings, field days, ordering our own stuff and taking delivery right off the semi.

I dont like the idea of my farmer dealer jacking up land rents and renting more land with the income of their second job. All farmer dealers are farmers first, their service cannot compete with full service retailers.

I guess you misunderstood me. The only reason we are dealers is so we can handle all of our own seed and have direct contact with DSMs, instead of having to run through salesmen. We control our own orders and deliveries, therefore handling our own seed decisions. If a variety runs short, I'm not stuck with whatever a salesman gives me. I have choices. The little bit I do sell to others is hardly enough to "jack up land rents." I sell a very limited amount to friends or people that approach me. When I sell, I don't gouge, as these people are my friends and neighbors, which also means I give them very good service, because the product and the service reflect on me. It appears you have had a bad experience, but that's not the way it is with every farmer-dealer.
