Franklinton, LA | What does the Bill of rights say about searches and seizures? Isn't this part of the Constitution? After Hurricane Katrina a few hundred people stayed in New Orleans to protect their property from roving bands of looters. The Mayor ordered the police to seize the homeowner's weapons. The police did not give receipts when the weapons were seized and they do not have any records of what happened to the weapons. The weapons were not returned to the homeowner's as promised. | |
