| We feed 1x time a day unless it gets really hot, last year 2x most of summer, Colorado St. did a great study, no difference in performance from 1x to 2x a day, but did 3x a day and had increases in ADG, eff. We shoot for 1 foot bunk space but have run less. We weighed the extra labor and maint, plus want to have a life with the kids,
so from our records 1x works best for us, I can get up to 25# DM in finish rations, just maybe have to manage bunk and intakes a litter better. | |
