I second that kookier. Generally this method is reserved for runts. So it don't take much of a serious blow to put them down within seconds. Castrating has to be a ton more painful then this as it's a semi prolonged operation. And the patient is fully conscious. However in case peta is monitoring. Ask any hog guy what happens to the piglet seconds after the operation. They stop their arrogant screaming and switch into suckling mode. Killing a piglet isn't that big an issue. Power washing with boiling water in a sauna like environment is the real tough chore that new employees should be warned about. I was one pissed of kid the first day I had that assignment. The hazing ritual of the hog industry.
