| There was just a study done, it's posted here somewhere. Currently, it's projected to cost $6.00 a gallon to produce cellulosic ethanol, without signifigant advances in technology. There is currently one, count em one, full scale cellulosic plant in the works. The Poet plant, I beleive, is merely a proof of concept plant. So, if it takes two years to produce the first plant, when will that industry be at a signifigant volume? I'd give it 10 years, minimum IF it ever becomes economically feasible. | |
