Michigan
Start on the side of the pile the wind is blowing into. Usually get a couple old irrigations tires, few gal of diesel and or oil. Use some seed bags or straw bales to get it going, then pile on the tires, fuel, and oil. The wind will blow it into the pile and you can push stuff ontop of the fire as well. Get a really good fire going without the brush then add it. You won't get far trying to actually light the brush up.
