| Eliminate the inheritance tax and allow no basis step up. If your heirs sell it they go back to the original basis and it gets taxed. Raise cap gains rates to match income tax rates within a bracket. All forms of income should be taxed at the same rate. A guy that is working for a living shouldn't pay more than investors. I would also eliminate SS and Medicare taxes and just have graduated income tax rates. SS is not a retirement, it is a lottery for those who are lucky enough to live a long life. Same for Medicare. | |
