Ohio | Are you trying to format from within windows? Cuz ya can't do that. If your going to go through the trouble of reinstalling windows I would put 7 on it. Just makes sure that the computer meets the recommended specs of 7. If it doesn't you'll have to put xp back on. Now to install windows put the CD in the drive start the computer up and load the boot menu. Pressing F12 or esc repeatedly usually brings it up. Select the cd-rom drive as your boot device and hit enter. Then a screen should come up that says press any key to boot from CD. Press any key. After that it should say "windows is loading files" or something to that effect. Its pretty straight forward from there. If you have any questions you're more than welcome to email me. | |
