I would have to agree with about every one on keeping the 97. They just don't make truck like it anymore. That being said, the 06 and 07 6.0 are a very good value on diesel pickups. I would say it you really want a nicer pickup to take on trips to get a late model 6.0 and take it to a good diesel shop and let them put all the aftermarket parts on it and you will end up with a great comfy pickup that will last you a long time.
