I always had the best luck with a bar of white rouge and a 6" buffing wheel on a good 4 inch grinder. I like the sewen treated(yellow) 1/2" thick wheels the best. If the alum. is acid etched, then you will end up sanding it first. I get my stuff from a place called Busch enterprises, they sell products at the truck stops and shows. They will have all the wheels and adapters that you need.
