West Ky
I had the applicator broke off the 3 pt hitch one time. I held my breath and closed my eyes and went to go turn the tank off. Thought I was going to die!!! That valve takes about 100 turns to get it shut off!!! I got it shut off and I walked up on a hill trying to get some air and of course snot was flowing everywhere. That was back in the 80's when I was invincible.
My brother almost died from it one year when the coupler had liquid in it and it shot directly in his face of pure stuff. I found him laying in the field. For some reason I had a feeling to leave the shop and go check on him. I found him laying face down in the ground. Drug him out of the cloud. That was about 15 yrs ago.

Needless to say we do not use NH3 anymore. Usually it is unforeseen circumstances that get ya like the rig breaking off from 3 pt hitch or hitting a hole in the middle of the field and the hose jerks the coupler and rupturing it. Lots of stuff can go bad.
