 Nevada, Iowa | Yes, it spiked although that spike seems tame by today's standard. Lower quality land at that time did not move in a direct ratio, it spiked much higher proportionately. When quality land became too scary or scarce for some, they plowed their hopes into the lower quality parcels.
What is different? This I can remember - 1. If we believe what "they" tell us, this run up is not as leveraged with debt as the previous run. 2. We don't have record high interest rates. (yet?) 3. There is a lot of land for sale today (good land , locally, was pretty scarce just before the last spike) | |
