I've had auto steer for 3 years now and if anything I find that I'm more alert and have never come close to falling asleep. I spend much more time turned around watching the planter or drill and enjoying the countryside.

That's what I found when I ran an air drill with autosteer. Can do a scan, make sure all the hoses are seated, no fountains of fertilizer, nothing getting caught in the shanks... constantly checking monitor rates, etc. Timing the acre counter for productivity... Too much to keep my brain still :D
