It surprised the heck out of us. Not what we expected at all, and from what we've heard from drier areas out west at how covers conserve moisture. The strips that were in covers are now in w rye and it goes to beans next year, then wheat. Will continue yield checking each year. Sure would like to hear ideas from the agtalk experts like Steve Groff, Terry Taylor and Ed Winkle as they have been at this a long time. And I presume have lots of replicated farm trials that formed their opinions.
