What about the treatment where there was no cover crop planted last fall was there anything growing there after wheat harvest? How much moisture did you get between wheat harvest and the time you terminated the cover crop last fall? I am thinking that if the no cover crop treatmend was keep clean and there wasn`t much moisture last fall that maybe the cover crop used up some moisture that the corn could have used the following year.
