Sort of a poor mans tile might be a ridge till system. ?
Book "from the soil up", has a nice chapter on it.
Most of the soil on this farm is somewhat tile drained. But most of it is lacking or poorly sized. The tool I hope to be usig for this fall planting will have the ability to do a small amount of ridging.
