Aside from all the other excellent reasons already stated to go with propane, it's cleaner than oil.  You won't get that sticky film all over everything all winter than you have to clean up every spring.   We lived with an old oil burner when we were first married, then did electric forced air when we built.  Switched over to LP when we did a house addition in '97 and have been very pleased with it.
