I know you are looking at Chevys.
I am a Ford man and would never buy a Dodge.
BUT, if you are looking for a 90s , a Dodge Ram 1500 with the 360 will work the pants off of a Ford or Chevy, and act like a 3/4 ton, and still give a good ride.
360s depending on gearing won't win mileage awards, but if you want mileage, buy a Prius.
