Sorry, Im not Ed!

After reading the posts in the thread - I think they have nailed it - nematodes. However, one thing that has been tied to nematodes is SDS - sudden death syndrome. Occurs in patches - and is actually a fusarium organism doing the killing - much more common furhter west. Infection comes through the root damage by the nematode. Not a good thing as it persists in the soil.
