novaman - 7/7/2012 11:31 The advantage of no-tilling won't show up in a year or probably even 4. It is a long term process to convert ground from tillage to no-till. I heard from an expert that you won't realize the full benefits of no-till until you've done it 20 years. Things like soil biology, organic matter and soil structure all need to align before you'll truly see the advantages. Obviously drought years would be considered favorable for no-till but if you've only been doing it a short time you shouldn't expect much.



Waiting 20 years for results on rented ground may never pay off.
