in E. Iowa I'm seeing a lot of fields that are tasseling in sporadic manner.  In all years past the field just seems to "bloom" into tassels all at once.  This year it's tasseling like a pinto pony. 

Some area's of the field are tasseling and other areas show no sign of a tassel.

I can't help but believe there are going to be harvest problems if there is anything to harvest.
