South-central Nebraska | I was in the market awhile back to replace a JD4000 and 4555 with a larger utility tractor. I looked at the 6130D and although it was simple and had the KISS approach, I just didn't think it was that great of a deal for what you got. Made in Mexico, pretty plain cab, simple quad transmission, open cen hyd, 4 cyl engine, short wheelbase and cheap tires. It was exactly what I needed. But, when pricing upper end JD models and CaseIh Maxxums the price for what you got didn't compare. Ended up with a Maxxum 125 value that had a better cab, longer wheelbase, semi-powershift, 6 cyl engine, better tires and built heavier. I have had some troubles with the Maxxum, nothing major, but happy overall. Just another option to consider. All came down to price/what you got for me.
