Western EC Iowa | I've done that salt trick too, it works well. Someone else mentioned not oversalting, I don't really think you can unless you let it sit too long. Salt it and wrap it up and let 'er sit, then wash it off and season with some pepper. One other trick I have used to get the meat a little warmer before putting on the grill is to put it in the oven with the light on, it will raise the temp enough to warm, but not enough to cook. Works well for thawing them out, too. I hate defrosting in the microwave. Ben |
