Fixed is the way to go. I ordered mine direct. M & F in law picked them up for me on the way out for Easter several years ago. Gave them the shipping money, 12 cleaners in a crate made the Windstar a little rear heavy, figured they might have burned a little extra gas.
Make sure you grease the screw adjust also each year and they work great.
You don't have to have them, I know of a guy who farms 10x what I do who doesn't.
