I think the dairy guys fear their equity getting slaughtered more than anything, no? I mean it is the most valuable part of their farm, a piece of paper that tells them how much they can produce. I have no doubt they wouold get bought out if Canada did ever remove it, and sure enough, farmers would still produce milk in this country. There could be a shift in WHERE it would be produced, but it would still be produced. There would be farmers game to try.
I am neutral on SM. I only know though, that the only dairy farmers I know, work exceptionally hard, never get to enjoy anything, and as they each have told me, they have a virtual license to print money!!! lol But they pay the price to print money... |
