| You might expand on this, but as I recall there are three basic ways nutrient uptake occurs in plants. 1) Root interception, 2) Mass Flow, and 3) Diffussion.
I guess if you are making an argument that the majority of phosphate and potassium are moved into the plant via Diffusion then I am going to have to agree with you as it relates to the Kreb cycle.
Where I think I am going to disagree is what forms of macro-nutrients (and micro's) are taken up....that is if I understood your comment "all elements must enter the plant in the form of P except Nirogen" correctly.
Here are the plant available forms that I am familiar with:
Nitrogen --- NH4+ and NO3-
Phosphorous --- HPO4(-2) and H2PO4-
Potassium --- K+
Calcium --- Ca2+
Magnesium --- Mg2+
Sulfur --- SO4-2
I could go on with a list of micronutrients, but none of them have "P" attached to the chemical structure either.
Maybe you can expand on what you meant by your comment.
