I will agree with Ed. If your wanting 40-50 bu beans my statement from above holds true you won't need fert. Depends a bunch on your location also. Here in Missouri unless you irrigate you can miss one rain in August and it does not matter how much fert you put on beans you will make 45 bu beans. Long term here anyway profits will be greater fertilizing good in the corn years and using your carryover in the bean years.
