I experience the same problems and my answer is, that there a two solutions. Either the gyros are not as good as they should be or we have to wait for a more aggressive software for the navcontroller...
Man Max setting seems to be o.k., because with T2 the motor turn less than without. So it has to do faster corrections when it should correct the course.
