NW Montana | I dont understand why this is so difficult for an electrician to figure out. Where is the voltage drop on start up? meaning is it the voltage dropping more than 10% during start up at the fan, at the converter, or at the service? Or is it dropping before the transformer? Have you asked the utility co for advice? It could be their transformer. I could also be the fan motor itself. Is the amp draw normal when running? This is a very simple system and it should not be hard to trouble shoot and find out what the issue is. It looks as though they are just replacing things till something works...not a good way to repair something as it gets expensive. I strongly suggest you have the power co check its not a supply issue. | |
