Feed man's first responsibility is to make money for the company he's working for and the company in turn makes a profit while helping the dairymen turn a profit. This all revolves around cheap feed which in this case involves getting their feed as cheaply as possible from Panotiller. Lots of dairies here use independent nutritionist but still we all know what impacts the bottom line on a dairy. FEED costs.
You can't blame dairies for wanting to control feed costs, but as a forage producer you have to know your costs and price it to them accordingly. | |
