Hay Wilson in TX
Posted 10/12/2007 17:43 (#218416 - in reply to #218390)
Subject: RE: Dairy has problems, not your feed.

Little River, TX
Looked at http://www.dairyone.com/ and they offer enough services.
Do they have a branch on the West Coast? What are their turn around times if you have to send the samples to NY?

What test do you think are of use to the hay grower? To the Dairy operator?

It is true, my customers really do not consider quality. If it looks reasonably good, their stock like to eat my offering, and is wrapped in string or wire it is hay. The price is what I am willing to let the hay go for, compared to what they are willing to pay.
This year, the year of way too much rain, we have a lot of real sorry hay to compete with. The man with the money does not know the difference but his pets sure do.
