Its all about $'s.


Playing in Iowa City generates a lot more $'s than playing in Ames.    If ISU is not in a BCS conference they will no longer be in an "equal" conference.
 

That would seriously hurt ISU's case for having a home/home series.      Iowa doesn't play at UNI or Northern Ill.




ISU is in danger of becoming a big dog in a little conference if the Big 12 dissolves.
