Subject: Re: Sugar beets western KS?

There are a few producers growing beets north of Burlington. There are piling locations near Kirk and Yuma now and the beets are processed at the plant in Fort Morgan. I was part of a group that toured the Fort Morgan plant last year and was treated to an amazing tour. We spent several hours following the beets from the pile to the loading dock. Where was your family located? My brothers farm around Kanorado and Peconic.
