Mississippi Delta | In our area, Mississippi and Alabama, the CORS stations are acting as the base station and the cell phone; which is tied into the controller, just dials into the closest cell tower and uses GPS signals to help tell it where it is ...as Don says the range varies but 29 miles is not unheard of in our area...especially in the Delto...FLAT. BUT you have to have a CORS tower to use the cell phone system...
