I am not sure that is a good alternative. Some ethanol plants may not want it because the DDGS that they are marketing to China may still test positive for the Viptera trait. There is probably a better chance that DDGS are going to go to China than the corn itself.
But, I have no idea if the trait can be detected in the DDGS. The ethanol plant does not want to lose the value of the DDGS.
