I'd be a little worried about shooting a 22 bullet into a water well with all the concern about lead in drinking supplies. Most new homes are plumbed using "leadless" solder these days when following code. If the water was hard enough, it would probably coat over pretty soon, but in a soft water well, it might very well all go into solution and be used in a household over time.
