My wife & I went to Yankton,SD on Wednesday & all of NW Iowa looked really good. As soon as we got to the SD border on Hwy. 50 conditions deteriated pretty fast. They had way to much rain for their flat laying ground. Alot of ground never even got planted yet, just a mess a weeds coming up, it's a bad deal for them. You were not to far from me.I live between Vermillion and Meckling.On good ground crops look great.Lots of the gumbo ground did not get planted or drowned out after it was planted. |
