I have had some experince with sand point well in the past in southwest indiana.We had some you could not run dry but would sometimes have to be replaced. We also had some luck with cleaning the sand point with shooting a 22 pistol into pipe and the purcussin would clean the point out enough for continuel use. Our wells were in the 25-30 ft range. Make sure you use drive coupler to connect the pipes when you drive if you use more than 1 pipe.
