| Easy, rent is way cheaper then you guys pay, the land I bought for $225 and acre in 2003 is paid for. I fertilize for 140 bu corn, I plant at 29,000, I have a (paid for) $4,000 combine that gets the crop off rather then a $350,000 machine. I have a 15 year old 12 row planter, and a 14 year old tractor that I consider my NEW tractor. My old tractor is 40 years old. Did I mention I have everything paid for? Don't borrow for operating either. Yields run from 100 to 150 with 125 being pretty common. Easy to make money. At least I think that's how I did it.
