| I never said that a farmer needs to show his seed dealer his yield maps. What I am saying is one test plot doesnt mean anything. One side by side can vary by 20 bushel in the same hybrid!
A seed dealer that is experienced has ridden in 100 combines that season and seen the hybrid in several different soils and management practices. That is really all you need to make an informed reccomendation to a farmer. The seed dealer knows the characteristics of a hybrid much, much better than the farmer who has planted 20 bags of it for one year.
